Originally we planted four of the traditional red Bordeaux
varieties.
Both Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc proved to be
potentially herbaceous in cooler years and have since
been replaced by the very successful Syrah.
Merlot and Malbec however are more consistent and as a
pair very complementary. When ever possible we produce
a limited quantity of a separate Reserve wine from each
variety.The balance, and in some years the entire crop
is used to create a Merlot/Malbec blend. more>>>
