Malbec is the most difficult and misbehaved variety in
our vineyard. It gives us more work than any other grape
varieties, it’s crop-levels are unreliable to say
the least but once the wine is in the cellar we seem to
forget and forgive easily.
Some small amount of Malbec is always used in our Merlot
Reserve. Its addition is like skilfully applied cosmetic,
emphasising the positive without being obvious. more
