Riverbrook Vineyard
The Riverbrook Vineyard has always been closely associated
with Fromm Winery, sharing the philosophy of producing
quality grapes with sustainable management.
Similar to Fromm and Clayvin vineyards, the vines have
been close planted, and rootstocks have been carefully
matched to the Brancott Valley’s gravely soil type.
Looking back at file photos taken in 1994, you can see
winemaker Hatsch Kalberer helping to plant the Riverbrook
Vineyard, purchased as bare land by local Marlburians,
the Patchett family. They sold the 10 acre high quality
vineyard in 2001 to the Hoare family, a Marlborough grape
growing family who has supplied quality grapes to Marlborough
wineries for over 20 years. The grapes and vineyard management
stayed in the “Fromm team”, which is now managed
by William Hoare, who has progressed to be Fromm’s
co-winemaker. more>>>
